Here is some information to help you with your travel plans to Fan Days.

Airports - there are two airports that service the North Dallas area. 1) Dallas/Ft Worth (DFW) International airport, and 2) Dallas Love Field. Both airports are approximately a 30-45 minute drive to the Plano area. 

Ground Transportation - since the airports are about 25-30 miles away, taxis can be expensive. We would recommend that you either book shuttle service or rent an economy car. 

Shuttle Service - For shuttle service to and from one of the above airports to your hotel, or the Plano Center, try 1-800-BlueVan or supershuttle.com.

Car Rental - A quick online search shows 3-day rental cars available from 10/24-10/26 for under $100.00 ($72 is the lowest). Click here to check out rates from several rental car companies on expedia.com. By renting a car, you will have more flexibility on the hotel you select, and transportation to/from your hotel to the convention center. 

Hotels - The Hampton Inn Richardson (A Hilton Family hotel) is our first official Fan Hotel and is located about 5 miles from the convention center and offers a $74/night rate (plus taxes), FREE shuttle service in the morning and evening to the Plano Center, free hot breakfast, and free wireless internet. To receive the special rate and shuttle service, you must book your hotel stay by calling the hotel directly at 972-234-5400. Mention group code: STAR WARS Fan Days and let them know if you need shuttle service so they can plan van service accordingly. The Hampton Inn Richardson is located at 1577 Gateway Blvd Richardson TX 75080 off of US75 Central Expressway North.

The Radisson Hotel Richardson is offering a $79 daily rate (plus taxes). You can call 800-333-3333 and reference C2 Ventures Star Wars Fan Days on reserve online at http://www.radisson.com/richardsontx. Enter date of arrival and departure, look on the right side of the web page for the promotion code and enter “SWFD10” to get our rate. The Radisson will send one shuttle in the morning to the convention center, and pickup once in the evening. Make sure to check with the front desk at check-in for all the details on their shuttle service for Fan Days.  Cut off for this special rate is 10/1 or when our block is full.

Note: The Plano Center does not have an adjacent hotel, but there are several hotels on US-75 that are under 2 miles from the facility. You can check out a list of area hotels here.  Many under $60/night (lowest - Red Roof Inn at $44/night at time of this article.  If the link is not working, try here, and enter “2000 E Spring Creek Parkway Plano, TX” into their search field to pull up a list of other area hotels. These hotels won’t be offering shuttle service, but if you are renting a car, you may find a different hotel more convenient.
